Portfolio of Works

I constantly challenge myself by switching mediums. Here you'll find my collection of oils and acrylics.

It all starts with the kids, right?

I've done a number of public art projects around the Boston area. Although this is not my main focus of my art, it is a great way to display the message that I try to get out with my art and that's this:

we are not the only creatures on this planet, in this neighborhood, in my house. We live and breathe and need each other in order to survive. Take a moment to appreciate all the nature we have in our everyday lives.

Sometimes, I just paint things that I find are beautiful and want to share. You'll find all those images here. I hope you enjoy your visit.

When people talk about their pets, their face lights up, their smile widens and you get to hear all the silly things that their pet does and how much it means to them. I'll usually get a couple of photographs to work from, but it's really the back and forth between me and the owner that really makes me get to know them and allows me to really capture the spirit of that animal in their portrait. More often than not, the pets that I paint are pets that are no longer with us. I think that getting a painting of your pet is a beautiful way to honor the relationship.

Some of these paintings are from photos of my own collection of time spent with other people's pets or even at a dog show. Sometimes it's just being at the right place at the right time to get that expression. I hope you enjoy this collection as much as I enjoyed creating it.
